Long Time No Blog....

I'm a bad blogger - sorry.  I read them lotz...just have a hard time making a point to actually make an entry into my own.  This weekend was good.  Friday night met some friends for drinks (mango margaritas - yum,yum) at Mi Cocina and then went to see a really good band "Emerald City" at a really cool but smoky,  tiny (read crowded) bar that I've loved for several years.  Saturday was supposed to get up early and meet another friend at the mall for Santa's arrival (isn't it a bit early???) but......didn't get home until 1:30 am so being at the mall at 8:30 am was the last thing on my list...had I had a list of which I would have swiftly crumpled up and stuffed under my pillow and ignored.  Saturday I attended my 12 year old's band concert which was cool....only made cooler by the really cute blue-eyed blonde who plays a mean trumpet....aka "bubbarino" by his little brother and me his mommy.  Today I didnt do much except attend a birthday party and clean up and take care of my poor little-little (2-1/2 year old) who threw up red punch and stuff I still have not been able to identify...poor baby.  Poor carpet....just another red stain to add to the collection...maybe we should just go ahead and dye the carpet red and quit trying to strategically place furniture....hee hee!!

My Little Artist

Yes little-little is an artist (pronounced arr-teest).  This was drawn over a year ago - so you can only imagine how beautifully he illustrates his thoughts now.  I would share with you but then I'd have to kill you!  So...just to keep this murder-free....I'll withold the beauty of his artistry.

YIKES - POISON IVY

Is this not the saddest thing? My poor baby went to visit family Halloween weekend and after a trek to deer camp for "youth hunting weekend" with more playing in the woods and fishing than anything - he came home with this poor face. After self-medicating him for two days of missed school we finally decided he needed a doctor only to find out that on top of the horrid poison ivy he also has strep throat. Now $100 worth of medication (with insurance) later - he's looking a bit better and enjoying his absence from school for the 4th day in a row. Of course we are all staying AWAY from him for fear of catching either of his YUCKS!! But we love him from a afar and hug him with our eyes cuz.....I ain't touching that! Hee Hee...he knows his mommy loves him mucho!!!

Random Thoughts and True Facts

1. I'm recovering from a muscle spasm or whatever that left me stuck with my shirt half way on and unable to move my neck/shoulders.
2. I'm popping some muscle relaxers like there's no tomorrow.
3. The little one woke me up at 3 am this morning screaming from nightmares and continued to see "bace" (which I'm assuming means face) many more times and REALLY started to freak mommy out cuz he was wide awake and watching Dora the Explorer and would be sitting on the floor and panic and jump up for me to get him. Poor thing.
4. The big little one has some serious Poison ivy/oak all over his face and body but mostly face. Not a pretty site - eye swollen and just pitiful looking. Poor thing.
5. I have a band-aid on (ok not really anymore but I did have one) from my JELLO SHOT I got while trick-or-treating with little one and big little one. Hee Hee - my kinda trick or treating!!
6. My friend FINALLY sent me pics we took nearly 2 weeks ago at the Light the Night Walk.
7. I'll post more about the walk later - I'm kinda sleepy.....ya know 3 am IS PRETTY EARLY to start the day after no sleep the previous night due to muscle spasm thingy.
8. Just made chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn for dinner.
9. Bush is winning. (hee hee)
10. I'll be glad when this damned election is over and everyone quits writing, talking, arguing, and hating over it. I'M SICK OF IT!!! SICK I TELL YA....SICK SICK SICK SICK!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know what I am....let's see....exactly what AM I?

Well for starters - have I mentioned that I am no longer unemployed. Yes I dun went and got me one of them there jobby jobs! (sorry - that was the hick redneck coming out for a minute...I'll squish her back down now. She just likes to visit with you blogging types on occasion as you mystify and confuse her so she likes to try to do you one back.) Anyway, back to the jobby job....since the 1st of October I have rejoined the workforce and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I like my new job, I like the people I work with (5 guys) and I don't mind the commute - shorter than my last commute but longer than the one before that, but still not a bad drive but........I think as much as I have bitched about working with women in the past I kinda miss that whole female camaraderie thing. I worked with a bunch of guys at my last job (about 20 of them to be exact) but there were a few women and my direct supervisor (female) and I really got along well and became good friends. Not to mention the guys were a bit more boisterous/unruly/crazy there (ya know...normal rude but nice guys).....and for reasons I would rather not share (due to needing to keep my job and all...LOL) I don't think the new bunch of guys I work with will ever be like that and it's for a good reason but still kind of....DULL! They are funny and have great senses of humor (especially two of them one really dry and one really goofy-in good way). Just so you can kind of see how bored I am at times - I get excited when I get to come home and tell my husband..."Hey...I heard a cuss word...of course it was 'hell' and they were literally speaking of 'hell' and all" but after 2 1/2 weeks it was as close as they had gotten until yesterday. Yep....I heard one of them say "it pisses me off". I nearly laughed out loud cuz I actually got giddy and nearly called my husband to tell him....but I restrained myself and waited until I got home. Yep....I lead an exciting action packed work life huh? shut up....I got more stuff....read on.......

Well ya remember that whole "200 things" thingy-ma-bob I did right before I left for nearly a month? No? Well read back a post or two and you'll see that long drawn out thing. Well once you do scroll on down to #101 - and change that to BOLD!!! Yep...I, Me, Gypsy Mommy am now the proud owner of a shiny new tattoo! Didn't mean to get one, never wanted one but here I sit with my 3 week old tat. Why you ask? Well why would any woman who never wanted a tattoo get one? ALCOHOL of course!! And lots of it.....oh and throw in a drunk husband and your two drunk neighbors and VOILA you've got a dangerous concoction. One minute we're all sitting out on the patio drinking a Corona or Bud Light or whatever the hell it was and then you look up and your husband and neighbor are doing shots of Rum and Tequila....yes mixed at times (YUCK-BARF-NASTY I know) and the next thing you know you're riding down the highway on your way to Deep Ellum and Tigger's.

And low and behold 5 hours later your finally crawling your ass in bed with bandages and wondering "what the hell just happened"? Four hours later you wake up and look at your beautiful little children and think "what mommy goes out in the middle of the night and gets tattooed while her children sleep?" (they had a babysitter people but that's not my point) and then you go..."THIS MOMMY" cuz "I'm a mom not a grandma" not that grandmas don't have tattoos....I mean does yours? My grandma didn't". Which I might add I saw in Deep Ellum (not my grandma but a grandma, somebody's grandma none-the-less) playing the guitar on stage at Adair's. A rockin' granny...hee hee...gray hair and all getting dowb with her bad (really good) self. Can you say ZEN BUBBA? Funny huh? Truck driver turned rocker with granny on guitar. Made me think of you RockStar Mommy - you need to be a rocking granny one day (many...many years away of course)!! How cool is that? Pretty cool I thought. But I forgot to ask her if she had any tattoos.....I hope she does. Cuz one day I"ll be a grandma and I'll be...the granny with the tattoo!!! OMG!!

Well gotta get...it's really late. Before I forget, the Light the Night Walk was last weekend....I'll post about that later (waiting on pics from my friend) - talk to you cats later!! Nighty Night!

P.S. - Oh and I really did vote (early voting) it makes me feel like a real grown-up. GIGGLE GIGGLE

I'm back and will be updating tonight with more interesting stuff than a cheesy title that should be sung to Eminem's song that I don't know the name of but it's that catchy one he sung after being out of the limelight a couple of years ago for 5 minutes!!

Been drinking too much of what you see to the left as you can tell by the groovy candleholder (hee hee)but I like this picture because I liked my hair that day - I usually can't keep my hair up in one of those darn clips.

UPDATE: Eminem has a new song, I heard it today and it starts off the same way as the one previously mentioned.
